Angie Dark

Calimesa-Yucaipa Travel Agency

Angie was born in the state of New Mexico and at the age of 2 years old her parents moved to California. She grew up in Ontario and attended elementary, middle high school (in her day! they called it Junior High School), Chaffey High School and Chaffey College. Moved to Yucaipa 7 years ago. She has two brothers who both live in Upland, California. Her parents recently moving to Yucaipa.

Angie has been married to David Dark for 16 years. She has two sons, Manny a Firefighter and Jaime an Orthotic Coordinator, step-mother to Bill a truck driver, step-daughter Jeanna with husband owners of a Chem-Dry business. She has five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

After 25 years of public service she retired as a Housing Rehabilation Manager for the City of Rialto's Redevelopment Agency with the majority of 20 years with the City of Ontario. She loves being a volunteer and part of community activities. She was President of the South Ontario Kiwanis Club, now is the Membership Chairman for the Yucaipa Valley Kiwanis Club. Other organizations include President of Ontario Historical Society, Salvation Army Board, Ontario Historical & Art Museum Board, Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Ontario Downtown Professional and Business Association, Ontario Fire Belles Women Auxillary, Ontario Beautification Committee, besides being part of her childrens sports such as T-Ball Snack Bar volunteer, Assistant Den Mother for Boy Scouts, High School Band and Little Leaque volunteer.

After retirement and spending a year decorating her new home in Yucaipa and planting flowers she decided retirement was lacking human contact and missed talking with others on a daily basis so she enrolled at San Bernardino Valley College and became a Certified Travel Agent and worked for Delta Airlines in Ontario Airport. That drive soon became stressful and decided to work locally for Calimesa-Yucaipa Travel. A year later an opportunity to buy and own Calimesa-Yucaipa Travel was given to her and the rest is history. She loves the opportunity of creating travel for all clients in the Yucaipa Valley. No request is to small or challenging. The agency is a full service agency providing Airline Tickets, Cruises, Tours, Amtrak, Hotel and car rental. She has two employee's with a total of 21 years of honest, professional experience; Marcee Brunnabend and Nan Sterling with her in the office. The best part of being a travel professional is meeting the wonderful individuals and families of the Yucaipa Valley. Travelers are the happiest people and sharing in creating there adventurous travels to tropical, historical and relaxing sights the world has to offer is simply the best job in the world, not to mention the opportunity she has had to travel to her favorite destinations of tropical island paradises of Bahamas, British Virgin Island, The West Indies and Mexico. Her expertise is in Cruising. Angie and David had the opportunity to sail to the Hawaiian Islands on the new Queen Mary 2. She and the agents enjoy putting groups cruises together for Class Reunions, Weddings, and Family Reunions. The agency also provides Wedding Registry, and Gift Certificates for birthdays, graduations, retirement and anniversaries. She welcomes everyone to come in and stop by for a visit or pick up a brochure where travel deams can come true.
