2012 - 2013 campaign
What Is Yucaipa FIRST?
A year-long campaign dedicated to supporting our local businesses.
Yucaipa FIRST!…is all about promoting our local businesses, fueling our local economy,
and spreading the word about the many benefits of shopping locally. This campaign is all about you!
The Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Yucaipa News Mirror and the City of Yucaipa in presenting a
year round campaign that will inform our community of the benefits of shopping locally and introducing the community
to the many unique and diverse businesses that we have now. Driven by a year-round, high profile media campaign and
online support as well, this campaign has the power and strength to make a difference!
And Shop Local campaigns really do make a difference! It’s been proven! A recent survey of independent retailers
found that a strong local alliance boosted sales while those in cities that did not have a “shop local” campaign saw only
limited sales gains.
This campaign is a win-win opportunity that by supporting you, our local businesses, we in turn support our local city
government and our community.
Keeping dollars in our local community creates jobs, funds more city services through sales tax, helps our non-profit
organizations, and promotes community development.
By becoming a member of Yucaipa FIRST! you can take advantage of the high-profile, multi-thousand dollar media
campaign that makes you the focus of the community. In addition, you can take advantage of the reduced rate, low-cost
advertising offered to Yucaipa FIRST! participants only!
A special Rewards Card program also brings consumers to your business by encouraging shoppers to participate in a
contest that will reward local shoppers with a $100 gift certificate each month during the campaign. Plus, we will be
announcing many more opportunities throughout the year to promote and market your business.
